Our History

Grandir Malgré Tout was born from the courage and memory of a Franco-Syrian couple deeply scarred by the violence that struck Syria. The founder, originally from the village of Charrifa, 34 km from Latakia, carries within her the legacy of a community devastated by war. Together with her partner, she chose to turn pain into action, making her personal story a driver of solidarity.

The association is built on a powerful belief: hope can be reborn, even in the most ravaged lands. From France, it reaches out to those broken by conflict—especially orphaned children and widowed women, often left alone to face poverty, isolation, or fear.

Grandir Malgré Tout is the choice to believe in rebuilding, in transmission, and in the strength of a wounded people to rise again—without forgetting their past.

It is also a bridge between generations, between cultures, between Syria and France — a path of resilience and light, where everyone can contribute to nurturing a more just future.

🌱 Sowing hope, nurturing the future.
